About us

Central Outback Training is a Private Registered Training Organisation (RTO) specialising in Agricultural Traineeships.

Registration details found here:

Since becoming an RTO in 2008, we have a proven record for providing safe and practical hands-on training delivered totally within the workplace to those working in the beef cattle industry.

Whether you’re a sole operator looking to gain a recognised qualification or an organisation seeking to provide your employees with a traineeship or specialised training, we can tailor a package to suit your individual workplace and needs.

Courses may be run as fully funded traineeships (subject to learners eligibility), or via Fee for Service.

Our goal is to ensure learners are provided with current and relevant industry skills and knowledge. Training plans are fully customisable to suit learners needs and their working programs whereby, the skills and knowledge learned every day will be used to formalise into a qualification. The teaching methods are predominately workplace observable tasks and are suitable for all forms of learning needs.

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) means recognition of competencies currently held. At Central Outback Training we appreciate the value of workplace and industry experience, and recognise that learners will acquire vocational skills and knowledge from a variety of sources other than formal training.

Learners who believe they have already obtained current skills and knowledge that would otherwise be covered in the qualification / unit of competence for which they intend to attain, can discuss RPL options at the time of enrolment.

All courses offered by Central Outback Training are Nationally Recognised and aligned to the AHC Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package.
