To be eligible to enrol in any of our courses you must be employed within the industry. Our courses are designed to be delivered within the workplace and units are selected to suit individual needs and workplace. For more information click on your course of interest

AHC30116 Certificate III in Agriculture

Typically, students enrolling at this level have been in the industry for 1 to 2 years where they can build on their skills and knowledge already acquired.

Delivery is full-time on-the-job within the workplace and will include 3 – 4 onsite training visits by the Trainer.

Students are encouraged to undertake self-paced study in between training visits to complete the entire program within the recommended time-frame discussed on enrolment.

Further training will be provided if necessary. Learning materials in the form of web-links and/or YouTube clips are provided within the Student Diary for support and progression.

Feedback and information regarding competency, progress and study will be provided by the Trainer on a regular and on-going basis.

AHC32816 Certificate III in Rural Operations

Typically, students enrolling at this level have been in the industry for at least 1-2 years so they can build on the skills and knowledge already acquired.

Delivery is full-time on-the-job in the workplace and will include 3 – 4 onsite training visits by the Trainer.

Students are encouraged to undertake self-paced study in between training visits to complete the entire program within the recommended time-frame discussed on enrolment.

Further training will be provided if necessary. Learning materials in the form of web-links and/or YouTube clips are provided within the Student Diary for support and progression.

Feedback and information regarding competency, progress and study will be provided by the trainer on a regular and on-going basis.

AHC40116 Certificate IV in Agriculture

Students enrolling at this level must have worked within the industry for several years and be employed in a position of authority where they can build on the skills and knowledge already acquired.

Delivery is full-time on-the-job in the workplace and will include 3 – 4 onsite training visits by the Trainer.

Students must undertake a minimum of 30 hours of self-paced study in between training visits to complete the entire program within the recommended timeframe of 12 months. Further training will be provided if necessary.

Learning materials in the form of web-links and/or YouTube clips are provided within the Student Diary for support and progression.

Feedback and information regarding competency, progress and study will be provided by the trainer on a regular and on-going basis.

Specialised training  courses are tailored to your workplace and delivered entirely onsite. These courses are nationally recognised and employees issued wth a Statement of Attainment at completion.

Chemical Training – 1-2 day course includes 3 x units of competencies; AHCCHM304 Transport and store chemicals, AHCCHM307 Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases and AHCPMG 301 Control weeds

Motorbike Safety Training – 1 day course includes 1 unit of competency; AHCMOM201 Operate two wheel motorbikes

Quad Bike and Side by Side Safety Training – 1 day course includes 2 x units of competencies; AHCMOM216 Operate side by side utility vehicles and AHCMOM217 Operate quad bikes

Tractor Safety Training – 1 day course includes 1 unit of competency; AHCMOM202 Operate tractors OR AHCMOM207 Conduct front-end loader operations

This student handbook has been prepared for students undertaking a course of study with Central Outback Training. It will ensure that the investment in training provides the best possible training experience and outcomes.

The information provided includes;

  • code, title and currency of the qualification to which students can be enrolled
  • the services provided;
    • estimated duration of the services
    • expected modes of delivery
  • obligations including any requirements students would need to enter and successfully complete their chosen qualification
  • any materials and equipment the student must provide and the educational and support services available
